Dr. Neil Clark Warren
Dr. Warren is the chairman of the Board of Directors and a founder of eHarmony. Dr. Warren retired from management in 2006 but still plays a vital role in the business, advising management and inspiring millions of users with his strong belief in the power of healthy, long-term relationships. Dr. Warren is one of America's best-known experts on mate selection. His experience includes 35 years as a clinical psychologist, counseling thousands of patients on relationship issues, extensive appearances at relationship seminars, and as a relationship expert on many national television and radio programs. Dr. Warren has also written several books on love, marriage, and emotional health, including the best selling "Finding the Love of Your Life," which has sold nearly one million copies and has been translated into over ten languages. Dr. Warren has a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago.
Jay Hoag
A founding general partner of Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV), Jay Hoag has been a venture capitalist and technology investor for over 25 years. Prior to TCV, Jay was at Chancellor Capital Management where he spent over 12 years as a technology focused venture capitalist and fund manager. Jay has been involved in TCV investments in companies such as Expedia, Fandango, Netflix, C|NET, Tech Target, and Zillow among others. Jay received an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan and holds a B.A. in economics and political science from Northwestern University.
Greg Penner
Greg is a General Partner at Madrone Capital Partners, an investment management firm based in Menlo Park, California. Prior to joining Madrone, Greg was the SVP and CFO of Wal-Mart Japan from 2002-2004 and the SVP of Finance and Strategy for Walmart.com from 2000-2002. From 1997-2000, Greg was a General Partner at Peninsula Capital, an early stage venture capital fund. Previously, he worked in strategic planning at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. and corporate finance at Goldman, Sachs & Co.
Greg is a director of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Cuil, Inc., eHarmony, Inc., Baidu, Inc. (Beijing), and 99Bill Corporation (Shanghai). He is also a director of The Charter Growth Fund and Teach For America.
He received an MBA from The Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in International Economics from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
Jeremy Verba
Jeremy Verba has spent the last 20 years focused on online services, communications, media and entertainment. Jeremy is a proven leader in driving growth and innovation across multiple online categories, including content, community, commerce and social offerings. Prior to joining eHarmony as CEO, Jeremy served in an executive leadership role with Zynga, the world’s largest social game developer, where he served as founding General Manager of Treasure Isle, one of Zynga's top social games. Prior to Zynga, Verba served as President and CEO for Piczo, Inc., which he built into one of the largest online teen community site in the world with primary markets in the United States, United Kingdom and Germany. Additionally, Verba served in leadership roles at AOL, HearMe, Inc., E! Online and CNET. Jeremy has an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
