Jeffrey and Leslie
eHarmony connected Leslie and I, we made it to open communication in one day! From the start we felt like we had known each other for a very long time. We decided texting would be a great informal way to get to know each other better with no pressure for either of us, so for the next few days we texted about our families, our upbringing, and our jobs to have a better understanding of where each of us came from. During our texting I told Leslie that she could call me whenever she felt comfortable enough, that third day was when I heard the chirp of my phone and it was her! I know she was extremely nervous to call and I was anxious and excited all at the same time! So we chatted for hours about anything and everything.
It really is quite funny to me how this whole thing transpired, she signed up for only three months and I accidently signed up for a full year! So almost by default we matched, her subscription was suppose to be up in March but since it automatically renewed she stayed a member and eHarmony found us as a compatible match! I let her know I had to come to Chicago for a Navy school the first week in April, so this would be the first time we would get to meet. We met in person on a day we both will never forget! Before leaving Chicago we made plans for her to come visit me in Oklahoma and see how life on my end was. By the end of the trip she had secured a job and plans were made for her to move to Oklahoma. June 17th I was back on my way to Chicago to spend some more time with Leslie and her family before she made the move to Oklahoma. We had planned to have my parents fly in from New York to meet Leslie and her family. My parents arrived on the 22nd and spent four days with everyone. Unknown to Leslie on June 23rd I had planned to propose with our parents present. So the story comes to a close as we load the U-haul and make the trip to Oklahoma on July 2nd. Oh, yeah and if you are wondering she said, YES!
