Teresa-Ann and Kurt
We made plans for our first date and I knew he was special right away. We had a very private ceremony because I thought I might be getting deployed to Iraq, and had a public ceremony with friends and family two months later on 25 Jun 2009. Thank you eHarmony.
I am embarrassed when people ask me how we met, but after I tell them, everyone reacts the same way--they are so happy for us and say they know so many people who also met the same way. We had a wonderful little wedding. Unfortunately, we will be separated for the next two years because I am stationed in Portugal in the Azores Islands and he will stay in Hawaii to work with his dad in their family business until I can move someone where he will be able to get a job and join me. If you are not familiar with the Azores, it is very small set of islands outside of Portugal...much smaller than Hawaii, which is where we met. We keep in contact using Skype and hope these next two years go by fast.
I have finally met my special match and feel like I am finally starting my "real" life instead of just going through the motions. It kills me to wait an additional two years, but we both think it is definitely worth waiting for.
