Arielle and Brandon
Having graduated with my MBA and was working at a company as a manager, I was starting to wonder just how I'd ever find the One. My friend said he'd met his future wife (they're engaged now and will be married early 2009) on eHarmony and that I should give it a try.
Brandon and I were matched in late December of 2007, and met face-to-face for the first time in February 2008. The first time we met I had a high fever and the flu and our area experienced a nasty snow storm (making the normal 2 hour drive to the airport a bit more tricky and much longer than anticipated). Not the happiest conditions to have him fly out to meet me. But he took care of me for the weekend and we agreed to meet again. The next time he flew out to PA was for Easter. He met 60 of my relatives for Easter dinner. Talk about pressure! But he was cool under fire and his wonderful personality and great sense of humor endeared him to all.
Brandon went on several family trips with us including watching my dad in the Boston Marathon and a week vacation with both of our best friends in the Outer Banks, NC so my parents could get to know him, and he and I could spend more time together. I made several trips out to NE to get to know his family and attend my first Huskers game with him. We also found out that unbeknownst to Brandon; his roommate had been on eHarmony, as well. On June 14, 2008, my 25th birthday, Brandon proposed to me. Shortly thereafter, his roommate was also engaged!
Due to my long hours and hectic work schedule, I asked Brandon to choose where we wanted to get married. We knew we didn't want to have to choose between a wedding in PA or NE. He chose a Sandals Resort in Negril, Jamaica. On November 9, 2008, Brandon and I were married at a beautiful beach ceremony accompanied by my best friend, his mom, and my parents. Before the ceremony, we were both asked if we were nervous. We both replied, "No, not at all." We had both found our true life mates through eHarmony and we were just so excited to finally be together (and not have to constantly say goodbye and catch a flight back to our respective state). After a perfect honeymoon in Negril, we came back to celebrate with our friend and families at two receptions, one in PA and one in NE.
We are currently residing in Omaha, but are pursuing job leads in Japan. We'd both love to travel the world together and share new adventures and experiences. We can't wait to share in our other two eHarmony couples' weddings next spring and we tell everyone we come across about our story and how eHarmony helped us finally find each other. It's been an amazing ride so far and we can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together! Thank you for bringing us together and giving us the communication skills and basis for a wonderful lifetime of marriage!
