Karen and Josh
I was initially nervous about subscribing to an online dating site so I decided to try eHarmony as a non-member at first, having profile matches sent to get a feel for the potential people I would meet. A few weeks in I received Josh’s profile and his responses to the questions gave me jitters. The genuineness and humor of answers motivated me to become a full eHarmony member so I could contact him. We really connected in our emails over the next few weeks, his messages made me laugh, and I looked forward to hearing from him almost daily. About a month later, Josh and I felt that we had so much in common that we should meet. We had such great chemistry in our email conversations that my worry was whether the connection in person would live up to what we had online. I waited for him at a local coffee shop and when I saw a gorgeous redheaded man pull up in my favorite car, an orange Honda Element, I laughed, I knew it had to be him, it was. My nervousness about meeting in person melted away after that. We spent more than two hours talking that afternoon; conversation came just as easily for us face-to-face as it did online. Over the next year we fell very much in love. We were married on March 2, 2007. The funny part is, Josh and I owned condos a mile apart in the same city, had gone to the same university and had mutual acquaintances, but had never met before joining eHarmony. I love sharing our lives together and am so grateful we found each other.
