Brent and Laura
I joined eHarmony in January of 2004. I starting meeting some people and going out on dates. Over the years I had some relationships last for a few months or more, and even made some friends, but never found the right one. There were times I would get discouraged and let eHarmony lapse when a relationship went bad. Later I would come back, thinking if I want to find my perfect match I had to keep trying, keep meeting people and even going out on dates where it wouldn't work out. Well my persistence paid off. In February of 2007 I was matched with Laura. Laura had just joined eHarmony for the first time, and I ended up being her first eHarmony date.
I didn't necessarily expect anything from her eHarmony profile and the emails between us. Then we went out on our first date in March. It went well and we kept dating and things went better and we got closer and closer and then we fell in love. I never dreamed I would meet someone like her online, she is kind and funny and intelligent and beautiful. On September 25, 2008, after dating almost 19 months after we met, I asked Laura to marry me and she said Yes. It took almost 5 years, but I would have waited a lifetime to meet her. Thank your eHarmony. And for those of you out there who have tried eHarmony and not found the right one, don't give up, he or she is out there waiting.
