Sue and Mark
Mark has three very good friends who met their wives through eHarmony so he decided he might have luck with eHarmony too. He joined eHarmony in September of 2006. I had been trying to meet people through other sites and was having no luck. I always seemed to meet people who were not really serious about a relationship. A friend remarked that trying to meet someone via a free site would most likely only lead to disappointment. She suggested that I join eHarmony because people are more likely to be serious if they are paying for the service. It was great advice. I joined and a few weeks later I received a match notice for Mark.
I immediately felt a little spark in my heart when I read Mark's profile but thought that he probably would not be interested in a gal thousands of miles away so I decided not to respond right away. I figured I would wait and see if he would contact me first. I just about flipped when I got a response from him! I was SO excited that every night I would hurry home to see if I had an email from him. After three months talking on the phone we realized we were falling in love and decided we should meet. I flew to Albuquerque. Mark picked me up and I could not take my eyes off of him…he was so adorable! He gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a diamond heart necklace. Later on we went to Sandia Mountain, rode the tram up and had a romantic dinner at a restaurant on top of the mountain. We spent 5 days together. I returned home and we resumed talking on the phone night and day.
Last month he flew to Atlanta to meet my family and he proposed while he was here. I accepted his proposal! I will be moving to his home in Durango. We are going to get married on his family’s ranch in May. Once we settle in we plan to have an eHarmony party with Mark’s friends and their wives! Four very happy couples will be toasting eHarmony!
