Michael and Ann

Ours is a story of two educated, successful individuals in their 50’s who chose not to settle just for the sake of companionship. It would take an interest and a love far beyond any earlier experiences to even garner attention.
This is a letter of gratitude. We will never be able to thank you enough for providing the tool that brought out lives together. We are quick to share that we met via eHarmony and continue to be delighted with the reactions of those we tell – confirming to them that it does work, and works well.
We are of particular interest to the 50’s and above crowd who, like us, are not the computer nor the bar scene generation and have limited means to quality introductions. Yet, we are a generation with much life experience that allows us to deeply feel and respect an exceptional connection.
Michael and I were married on February 3, 2008 during a beautiful weekend with our families at the Martha Washington Inn in Abingdon, Virginia. Michael’s 78 year-old father officiated and my father, 84, gave the prayer. It was our wish that the celebration focus on family, especially our aging parents. We wanted them to find comfort in our union and know that Michael and I had found our way to the place we were meant to be.
During our marriage we have often celebrated our fortune in meeting. One poignant moment of gratitude is when we lean on each other as we guide both of our mothers through their struggle with Alzheimer’s. We often discuss how lucky we are to be on this journey together and recall how different it would be if eHarmony had not brought us together.
It was important for us to share our story with you. We will be forever grateful to you and eHarmony for giving us the gift of our introduction.
