Thank you eHarmony!  Andy and I had known each other for twelve years.  Andy had been married for over 18 years and was recently divorced, I had been married for over 17 years and was recently divorced.  Our families had worked on many different projects together throughout the years, and we never imagined we would end up divorced.  After our divorces our paths didn’t cross anymore, so there would be little if any contact between us if it hadn’t been for eHarmony.  One night last August  Andy called me and asked if I had checked my email.  I thought he needed my help (I’m a lawyer and had done work for him in the past).  I said no, and asked if he needed my help.  He laughed and said, “No… we matched”.  I was flabbergasted.

Following that phone call we began seeing each other as friends, and laughing about how eHarmony had matched us; basically refusing to believe that we were perfect for each other.  As we spent more and more time together we realized, this is it, this is what we’ve been looking for all our lives.  If it had not been for eHarmony, we would have never found each other…even though we had been friends for 12 years and lived less than 5 miles apart.
