Jeremy Verba - Chief Executive Officer

Jeremy Verba has spent the last 20 years focused on online services, communications, media and entertainment. Jeremy is a proven leader in driving growth and innovation across multiple online categories, including content, community, commerce and social offerings. Prior to joining eHarmony as CEO, Jeremy served in an executive leadership role with Zynga, the world’s largest social game developer, where he served as founding General Manager of Treasure Isle, one of Zynga’s top social games. Prior to Zynga, Verba served as President and CEO for Piczo, Inc., which he built into one of the largest online teen community site in the world with primary markets in the United States, United Kingdom and Germany. Additionally, Verba served in leadership roles at AOL, HearMe, Inc., E! Online and CNET. Jeremy has an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Greg Steiner - President and Chief Operating Officer

Greg joined eHarmony in 2000 and oversees the day-to-day operations of eHarmony, including the technology, customer service, operations and human resources functions. Immediately prior to joining eHarmony, Greg was the vice president of operations at a venture backed B-to-B transportation marketplace, NetFreight/Cyntric. Previously, Greg spent over ten years in the logistics industry, holding senior management and executive level operations, sales and business development positions at Pacer International (Nasdaq:PACR) and Interstate Consolidation Services. Greg has a B.S. in business/finance from the University of Illinois.

Joseph Essas - Chief Technology Officer

Joseph is responsible for overseeing, guiding and troubleshooting the technical development, operation and growth of eHarmony. He manages the developing long-term technology strategy and all technology/architecture planning, software development, and technical operations functions. Joseph has over 16 years of experience in the information technology industry in various high-tech management positions (CTO, chief architect, and vice president of engineering). Prior to eHarmony, Joseph was vice president of engineering with Yahoo!, where he managed engineering teams for the search marketing division. Joseph attended Jerusalem College of Technology.

Karen Barker - Vice President, Customer Care

Karen is responsible for eHarmony's overall service strategy and management of support operations for the company's customer care and risk management teams. Karen is a customer care industry veteran, building and leading superior quality customer care operations in Technology, Retail, Entertainment, and Transportation. Prior to eHarmony, Karen oversaw customer care operations at The Walt Disney Company and Restoration Hardware. Karen received a B.S. from California State University, Chico.

Cary Berger - General Counsel

Cary is responsible for managing eHarmony's legal affairs and corporate communications. Before joining eHarmony, he spent ten years as Deputy General Counsel at Broadcom Corporation, a global leader in communications semiconductors. During his tenure, Broadcom completed dozens of strategic acquisitions, expanded to 18 countries and grew from an early stage public company to a member of the Fortune 500®. Prior to Broadcom, he was a partner at the Los Angeles-based law firm of Irell & Manella. Cary holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School and a B.A. in philosophy-economics from Columbia University.

Sean Cornwell - Vice President, International

Sean is responsible for leading the launch of services in the United Kingdom. Sean has a mix of marketing, operations and business development skills and experience in multiple European markets. For the past three years at Google, Sean led the marketing function for monetization products (Adwords, Adsense and Checkout) as the Group Product Marketing Manager, EMEA. Prior to his role with Google, he founded and operated an online B2B technology news provider, DMEURPOPE.COM. Sean also worked for Van Dusseldorp and Partners, a niche European digital media events and research company based in Amsterdam, as their Director of Online Content Services. Sean holds a B.A. from Cambridge University and an M.B.A. from INSEAD.

Kristen Martin - Vice President, Human Resources

Kristen leads our efforts to attract, develop and retain the talented employees who are essential to achieving eHarmony's unique mission of "creating more love in the world." Kristen has responsibility for all aspects of human resources, including HR strategy, talent acquisition, performance management, career development, compensation and benefits. She also oversees the facilities management team to ensure that the company’s mission and culture are reflected in the office environment. Prior to joining eHarmony in 2008, Kristen worked for more than a decade in the Human Resource function at Thelen LLP, a global law firm. During her time there, she grew the HR function through several mergers and supported their expansion globally. Kristen received her B.A. in Psychology and German from Dickinson College.

John Powers - Vice President, Finance and Administration

John manages eHarmony's finance and administrative functions and his objectives include continuing to develop the financial infrastructure to support eHarmony's rapid growth. Prior to joining eHarmony, John was chief financial officer for two venture-backed startups, Market Wire and TheSauce.com. Previously, John held senior financial management positions at Jamba Juice and DAKA International and started his career as a C.P.A. at Deloitte and Touche. John has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in accounting from the University of Southern California.

Jon Ward - Vice President, Corporate Development

An interactive media veteran, Jon leads eHarmony's partner and alliance efforts, forging relationships with both online and offline media brands that create substantial and lasting value for eHarmony and its members. Jon joined eHarmony after more than six years with America Online, where he held a variety of business development and operational roles, including vice president of business development for AOL's personal finance category. Prior to AOL, Jon was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, focused on technology and media. Jon holds an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and a B.A. in English literature from Williams College.
